The education industry is going through an enormous change at the moment. In fact, some would say that we are in the midst of a revolution. Education has always really been a ‘top down’ approach. The education institutions and the teachers provide the information when it’s convenient for them and the student needs to accommodate.

That relationship is in the midst of flipping completely. Through the rise of online education we are seeing a ‘democratisation’ of education. What this means is that people are studying what they want, when they want, on the devices that they are most comfortable using. The net result being, education providers need to completely rethink their product and support structure.

For our client, GLS, this represents a massive opportunity to be an invaluable partner to help their clients in this change. But to do this we needed to rethink how we provided support in the modern environment. The solution needed to fit with learning institutions that could sometimes be reluctant to change but still be relevant to a student base that was actively searching for different ways to learn.

We worked with GLS in the early stages of developing a suite of products that could be tailored to help both the education provider and the student. Consisting of preparation and progress tracking tools, as well as a 24/7 technical help desk, it’s a support solution to ensure student satisfaction increases and dropout rates decline.

To launch the suite, we created a family of product logos and built out the website with the new offering and visuals. We then developed collateral, digital communications and a trade stand.

The system that exists today allows GLS to offer education providers and their students a comprehensive support network, that is flexible to their needs. The richness of the data we are getting back means that both our students and our study coaches know what is happening all the way from enrolment to course completion.
